Once again we're bringing you an evening of trade and exchange - a jewellery swap + modification party on Thursday December 10.
This chill night will feature:
>A big jewellery swap - pick and choose your pieces
>DIY jewellery alteration and decoration stations - revamp those pieces you've found
>Tutorials on how to make bib necklaces, stud bracelets + other bling
>Funky beats by DJs Jason Pelletier + guests

To participate as a swapper:
No need to buy tickets/register in advance. Just show up at the door with at least 7 pieces of of gently used, clean jewellery. This can include but is not limited to necklaces, earrings (one set=one piece), rings, brooches, bracelets... No clothing please!
(For those who show up with no jewellery to swap, you'll need to pay an additional $5 + cover).
Tips For Swapping:
> Items should be in good condition. No discolouration, no dents, and clean.
> Play nice. Take only what you need.

Spins & Needles, in partnership with the Ontario Crafts Council, are proud to present the Ottawa premiere and first screening of Handmade Nation, a documentary about the rise of DIY, art, craft and design. Directed by Faythe Levine.

Join guests hosts spins & needles for a late night out at the National Gallery of Canada!
In conjunction with the Gallery's evening program Artsparks, spins & needles presents a night of creative exploration of the contemporary collection. Fine art meets funky beats and hands-on art/craft workshops in the Gallery space.
The night will feature late-night access to the Gallery's contemporary collection, interactive DIY art/craft projects, music by DJs Jason Pelletier and Clifford Brown and guided tours. Interpret the Gallery - its collection and its space - in a new light!
